YHWH Echad: The word translated as "the ravens" is the Hebrew word הָעֹרְבִים (HaOr’vim). The unaccented Hebrew word ערב can mean several things. It can mean "evening" in the sense of becoming dark (see Genesis chapter 1) and it can also mean "ravens" due to the fact that they are as black as night. Also, it can mean a "mixture" or "swarm" (Exd. 8:24; Neh. 13:3, etc) and it can also describe the nomadic Arabians (Neh. 4:7; 2 Chr. 21:16).

Bnei Midian are of an ancient origin. In the Kenite migratory tradition begun more than two millennia ago, a Rechabite remnant migrated into the Arabian Peninsula which comprises what is now Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen with Sephardic Arab Jews migrating back to their tribal allotments in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and Judah.

Tuly Weisz: The first in history to connect the Arabs to Ishmael was the ancient historian Josephus in the first century. However, the Bible equates the Ishmaelites with the Midianites, using these names as synonyms. Islamic tradition holds that Ishmael settled in the Arabian Peninsula and became the ancestor of the Arab people.
George A. Barton, Wilhelm Bacher, Judah David Eisenstein: The Rechabites were found also by the English missionary Dr. Wolff, in 1828, near Mecca in Arabia. He credits them with the observance of the pure Mosaic law. They speak Arabic and a little Hebrew.
"Various classical and historic sources place Midian east of the Gulf of Aqaba, in what is now the northwest part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
"Shalom ben Aharon Ha-Kohen Iraqi would go to a different Yemenite synagogue each Shabbat with printed Sephardic siddurim, requesting that the congregation pray in the Sefardic nusach and forcing it upon them if necessary" (Yosef Kapach, Passover Aggadta, p. 11).
"Moses married Tzipporah. Tzipporah was a Midianite, a distant cousin. The Biblical Midian is modern-day Saudi Arabia."
